Hello, I am new to this forum and have just Lately been turned "on" to PM.
I know Viggo uses 5150 II amps and Musicman EVH guitar, but just wondering if anyone knew if Viggo uses any sort of overdrive in front of his amp? His guitar sound is incredible! I tried to ask Viggo himself, but for some reason I cannot post on the "Ask Pagan's Mind" forum.

Hi Kev and welcome to the forum. Sounds strange that you can't post in the other forum.
Anyways, i'll meet the guys tomorrow and if i remember i'll ask him to stop by here and answer your question.

I'm curious how Jorn's guitar rig is configured too.
After listening to Jorn's high gain tones I became determined to buy a high gain tube amp, I settled on the Marshall JVM 410C and use a Dime Wah/boost in front and a GT-8 plus a few noise gates to keep the signals quiet. |

Just getting back from my first Pagan's Mind concert in Toronto! An amazing concert and the crowd were right into the band. (Honestly more than they were for Stratovarius)
As I left the venue I went into Subway sandwiches and guess who? Jorn Viggo! I asked him which boost pedal is in his pedal board, he said he isn't using pedals he just uses the 5150II foot switcher. He did have a rack on his amp that was probably used for modulation and delay effects?
I hope to see PM again.
Btw - ordered the same sub Jorn got.  |
